Sorry it’s been a while since my last blog update, a lot has happened since the end of September so I thought I would just cover a few of the highlights below. First I had to go to the UK for family reasons and then ended up getting some work which meant a whirlwind trip to Rozenburgh in Holland, then back to the UK, followed by 5 days in Memphis Tennessee USA; arriving back in Japan for one day to do a presentation for Klee Inc and “The Forest Amoung Us” an exhibition in which I am taking part, then flying out to Shanghai for 2 days then on to Singapore for a further 3 days! Phew, it was a busy time! but a lot of fun. Above is the worst Hamburger I have ever, partly eaten, it was in a hotel late at night and my original order wasn’t available so I chose the next think on the list. It was like eating an ice hockey puck, suffice to say I left most of it and when the waitress collected my plate and said “How was it?” all I could say as she took the plate away was “It was big!”. ごめんね! The US was a different story, I’ve never been to Memphis in the US before and the food was great!
Arrived late in Memphis after flying from Manchester to London UK, then London to Chicago and Chicago to Memphis. Only place open in walking distance was Gus’s and it didn’t dissapoint. YUM YUM 🙂
After this type of chicken, Kentucky Fried is never the same again! Next day I was lucky enough to be taken out for the afternoon, this began with lunch!
Roast Pork sandwiches, Fantastic! After which my host kindly took me to see Graceland!
Didn’t have anytime for sightseeing on this part of the project, although in Shanghai I was kindly taken out for a meal to drink German beer and food, it was a nic break from my busy schedule.
Then in Singapore I happened to find the office of a company I have worked with often over the years in the UK, Elmwood Design.
I even bumped into an old friend! It’s a small world eh!
